Slide Counterbalances

On E2H presses, four counterbalance units mounted in the crown lift at each corner of the slide to eliminate tipping or twisting of the slide. Since each counterbalance rod is free to float in the clamp plate where it is attached to the slide, side forces to the counterbalance piston and the slide are elimintated.
