QUERÉTARO, MEXICO -- Construction is under way for Nidec Press & Automation's (NPA) new expanded Customer Service Center in Querétaro, Mexico.

NPA has quickly outgrown it's existing service facility in Querétaro, which was originally opened in 2014. With almost triple the space, the new facility will be located in Navex Park II, and is expected to go into operation by mid-February, 2019.

"Our growth in Mexico is part of Nidec Press & Automation's global facility expansion," CEO David Winch said. "We've opened a new 46,000 square meter manufacturing and office facility in Spain.  We've moved into an expanded customer service center in Germany, and we're getting ready to start major manufacturing expansions in China and Minster, Ohio."

Winch said the ongoing investments and combined synergies of the NPA brands -- Minster, Arisa, Kyori, and Vamco -- is allowing for global manufacturing opportunities, shared innovations, and a combined worldwide service team that is second to none in resources and response time.

"Being able to support all of the Nidec Press & Automation brands from one facility will result in efficiency and integration that will benefit our customers' bottom line," Winch added.

The new 2,500 square meter facility in Querétaro is located just a few kilometers to the west of NPA's current facility, and will include a high bay assembly area with a 35-ton bridge crane. The new facility will allow for complete remanufacturing of larger presses and large press component rebuilds.

The repair parts warehouse will be greatly expanded to include more space for stocking common replacement parts for Minster, Vamco, Arisa and Kyori products.  The new facility will also include a product showroom, training rooms, and is being constructed on a large lot with future expansions in mind.

Additional staffing is being added at the Mexico facility, including an Arisa Technical Support Manager and four technicians.

NPA currently has 11 technical support locations, and dispatches service personnel from more than 80 locations on five continents.
