COVID-19 Update from Nidec Minster

March 24, 2020

To Our Valued Customer,

As the global environment evolves due to COVID-19, Nidec Minster Corporation (Minster) is carefully monitoring the situation. The safety and well-being of our workers and the public is a top priority, and it is Minster’s intent to protect them. In addition to following the social distancing practices and other mitigation measures defined by the Centers for Disease Control, we are limiting the number or workers within our facilities to the extent possible.

While there are increasing “shelter-in-place” orders at State and local levels, Minster is an essential part of the critical manufacturing sector as outlined in guidelines recently issued by the Department of Homeland Security. These guidelines followed a March 16, 2020 COVID-19 update from President Trump stating, in part, the following:

“If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, … you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”

Because we are an important part of the supply chain for defense, food and medical and are an essential supplier as defined above, we will continue operations. Minster has received numerous requests from our valued customers concerning ongoing operations. This will be our blanket communication and in lieu of executing individual statements or completing surveys, Minster represents to its customers that we are doing our best to keep customers up and running by remaining in operation.

Together, let’s protect our teams and their families, protect public health and optimize the production of products that are essential to maintaining life!

Sincerely,
David C. Winch, CEO
Nidec Minster Corporation
