Arisa S. A. Will Join Nidec Minster Corporation

MINSTER, OH U.S.A. -- Nidec Minster Corporation CEO David Winch announced today that Arisa S.A. of Logrono, Spain is now a Nidec Group Company. The Minster Group will manage and integrate the skills, synergies, and assets of Arisa S.A. into a broader global product offering.

“The addition of Arisa S.A. to The Minster Group instantly expands our product offering while also opening up many new opportunities for continued growth,” Winch said. “More importantly, Arisa joining the Nidec Minster family brings more than 70 years of global manufacturing experience and business relationships to our worldwide operation.”

Founded in 1940, Arisa manufacturers a complete line of mechanical and servo presses, along with related coil line automation systems and technical services. With approximately 113 employees, Arisa currently has presses and related machinery operating on five different continents throughout the world. Winch continued that Arisa will maintain local production and management in Logrono Spain.

Javier Martinez-Aldama will continue on as CEO, responsible for the daily operations, Diego Ariznavarreta will remain as Vice Chairman, and Tomas Ariznavarreta will lead Technical Management. Arisa products will continue as unique brands, and will now be supported by Nidec Minster’s global sales and customer service network.

“This acquisition provides Minster a larger and more competitive global footprint in the machinery, automation and services marketplace,” Winch added. “Arisa’s products are a good fit for us since there is little overlap with Nidec Minster’s products. Arisa’s customer base and market has been with the European automotive community’s tier one and two suppliers.” Understanding that manufacturing will continue in Logrono, this will provide Minster with production capability in Europe, in addition to the USA and China.

The Minster Group includes a highly diverse and versatile lineup of material forming solutions, including: Minster mechanical and servo presses; high speed Kyori presses, MMC presses; and servo presses from Nidec-Shimpo. Coil line and turnkey system products in The Minster Group are available from Minster Automation and Dynamic Products. All products are supported by Nidec Minster’s global Customer Service organization.

Headquartered in Minster, Ohio, Nidec Minster Corporation includes Customer Service centers in Ningbo, China; Halblech, Germany; and Querétaro, Mexico, along with sales offices in Japan, Belgium, Mexico, Spain, China, and Brazil.
